Whilst researching for ideas I saw this sheer canopy shoot and thought ‘oh thats stunning!’ so I simply had to try it with my sons and see what I could do with it. I was trying to think of ways to avoid my 2 boys from ripping it all down and decided some yummy chocolate brownies would do the trick, which of course they did! We made a small you tube video of it which I will post later, but for now here are some of the beautiful images I got from the session. My oldest son was also climbing in the trees so I captured him in there as well.

Please don’t ponder for too long about whether or not you will have your pregnancy captured as a photographic memory. Before you know it, you have thought and thought and the next thing you know your baby has arrived! All you have are some point and shoot happy snaps tucked away in an album somewhere (if you even printed them) and then you start thinking about capturing those 1st moments of your newborn.
I have gorgeous professional images on my wall at home of my 2nd pregnancy and I simply love them. I look at them very often and will happily share them with my guests who also look upon my special memories with fond smiles. I am so incredibly glad I committed the one hour it took to have the maternity photography taken, even more so as was is my last pregnancy. As they were done professionally I felt and looked great. The lighting was subtle and the parts I wanted covered were. Fabulous!

I have a private studio and it will only be yourself your partner and I.
As a woman and mother I understand only too well the insecurities we sometimes feel and the need for a private and cosy setting so you will feel comfortable. I will place props to help make you feel gorgeous and comfy during the shoot. However if you love nature as I do, then I am only too willing to accommodate you in nature itself and we can hit the beach or some bushland.

Maternity Photography

Parents and families I urge you all to consider a wonderful portrait session in a outdoor location that you have all been before and love, or anywhere that your children can roam free and explore their natural environment. A child investigating some rockeries or a little lake that is alive and teeming with ducks, frogs, dragon flies and long neck turtles makes for some wonderful images to put up on your wall. These moments that I can capture in a Heartbeat of their genuine smile because they spotted a beetle or a turtle really makes for a special kind of photo memory.
Check out all your local lakes, bush lands and wetlands plus even the local park can bring glee to your kids faces when they see a cute doggie run by! Feel free to call me for bookings or suggestions for a location portrait session if you prefer your kids in a more relaxed and natural environment.

These days most of us are working pretty flat out and it is sometimes tricky to get our family members together for quality family time, never mind a photo shoot!

Newborn Photography Perth

Heartbeats has many wonderful props to use for newborns and toddlers. There are gorgeous cocoons , slings and materials for newborns plus funky inflatable bright coloured chairs and a retro kids sofa for the slightly bigger kids. Also for my baby and newborn photography I have a suede waterproofed ottoman to safely shoot some sweet and original images.
There are also a few different props like a rubber mat that looks like rustic wooden flooring and also a gorgeous resin imitation wooden bowl for Newborn Photography. I have a couple of tutu dresses for toddler photography and they are really really cute!

I was very lucky to be entrusted by Hiroko & Spencer to photograph their beautiful pregnancy. Photographing children is a wonderful job but being asked to shoot a maternity session is very special and personal. My relaxed and private studio is the perfect place for pregnant ladies to relax and really enjoy their maternity photography session.
